Some new movies, casting, release dates, and filming news info. featuring some P&P actors here that I thought I'd post them all in the same post...

Here's today's quick news round up of TV and film news (including casting callsfilm synopsistrailersrelease datesfestival newsetc.) of the following P&P (2005) actors: Keira Knightley, Rosamund Pike,Jena Malone, Tamzin Merchant, Judi Denchand Rupert Friend all in one post!

First up...
(In Random Order)

If this rumor is true, this will be interesting as Keira previously said no to another Pirate film.

This was what she said previously...
“No. I said when the second one came out that there wasn't going to be another one for me.  I mean, they were already shooting the third one at that time.  I knew that that was going to be it for me.  It was an extraordinary experience, you know, but I was 17 when I started it and 21 when I finished.  And that's quite a large chunk of time there. And, you know, they are amazing people, but I've always wanted to act because I like changing. I like exploring different things.  And I sort of feel like I've done the pirating thing, as wonderful as it was and it was amazing.”

Perhaps an interesting and larger role for her Elizabeth Swann character in another potential Pirate 6 film has changed her mind??!

Here's the latest news about her possible cameo in the upcoming Pirates 5 film...

Keira Knightley will make a surprise return to the next "Pirates of the Caribbean," TooFab has learned.

Sources close to the production told TooFab that the Oscar-nominated actress has already secretly shot scenes for the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," due in theaters this May. The movie marks the fifth installment in the popular Disney franchise.

Knightley came to prominence in Hollywood playing Elizabeth Swann opposite the film's original co-stars Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, who sources said will appear opposite the actress in her scenes.

Though Knightley's role is described as a "small cameo during the end credits" it apparently hints at a potential larger role in the the sixth "Pirates" movie.

Disney could not be reached for comment.

The fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film will seal into theaters on May 26, 2017.
The fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie will sail into theaters on July 7, 2017.

'A United Kingdom' Trailer: Inside The Marriage That Changed African History

The marriage of Botswana (then known as Bechuanaland, a British protectorate) royal family member-turned-independence leader Seretse Khama and his wife Ruth Williams Khama is little known in the U.S.. But their relationship, amid increasingly hateful official racism in neighboring South Africa and the burgeoning African Independence movements that would ultimately see European colonial governments ousted from the continent, proved to be one of the most historically significant of the 20th century. The Amma Asante-directed drama A United Kingdom, starring David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike, aims to shine a light on their remarkable story.

A new trailer has been released which you can watch above now.

Khama and Williams met while he was studying in London and married in 1948. An intense international uproar followed their marriage however, and thanks to pressure from South Africa and cowardice in the UK Parliament, the couple were exiled from Bechuanaland for 5 years. Eventually allowed to return in 1956, Khama emerged as a crucial leader of the country’s independence movement, becoming the country’s Prime Minister in 1965 and, upon independence in 1966, Botswana’s first President, serving until his death from cancer in 1980.

Written by Guy Hibbert, A United Kingdom also stars Terry Pheto, Jack Davenport, Tom Felton, Abena Ayivor, and Vusi Kunene. It will screen in select theaters starting February 17. [Deadline]

Latest 'Homeland' Season 6 Trailer Teases Quinn's Return

Rupert Friend makes voiceover cameo after being M.I.A. from the first spot.

"The transfer of power will not be peaceful."

Homeland dropped the latest trailer for its upcoming sixth season on Friday, and the echoes to current events are in no short supply. The Showtime drama is in New York, dealing with the tense transition period for a president-elect.

How that will relate to Claire Danes' Carrie Mathison is up in the air. During the three-minute spot, she seems mostly concerned with a potential terror threat in series' latest location. But what might be most interesting to Homeland fans isn't even technically shown. Carrie is heard speaking with Quinn (Rupert Friend), seemingly awake after last being seen in a vegetative state during the fifth season ender.

Showrunner Alex Gansa has kept mum about how Quinn would return to the series after he seemed like he could have died. "We really want to be careful about revealing what his condition is," Gansa told reporters at summer's end. "He suffered a major stroke last season. You are going to see a very changed and altered Quinn this year. I think Quinn, this coming season, will really represent a profound and familiar casualty of the war on terror for our audience. What he endured last year is different from what he'll go through this year. This year will be suffused with his daily relationship with Claire's character."

Homeland returns Jan. 15. [THR]
